During his presentation at the 2015 Nigeria Economic Summit, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Engr. Babachir David Lawal disclosed that his cousin's two daughters are among the Chibok girls that were taking away. He also said that a widow who had been encouraged to go back to school was in that same school writing exams when she was also taken away by Boko Haram.
He also narrated how he wanted to go and tell his mother he had been appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation and left for his village in a long convoy but that they could not drive in to the community because the bridge to the community had been destroyed by insurgents.
