Huzur Ahmad addresses Dutch parliament on peace initiatives
The world Head of Ahmadiyya Muslim
Community Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad has arrived Holland where
addressed the Parliamentarians, policy makers and opinion leaders on the
peaceful coexistence in the world and the current realities. He was
welcomed to Holland in Nunspeet by the local Mayor, Honourable Dick van
Hemmen.
During his visit, His Holiness also attended to a number of other official engagements and had media interviews.
His holiness stated that he had been invited to address Holland’s Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee and he would also be laying the foundation stone for a new Mosque in the city of Almere as well as meeting members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community throughout his stay in Holland.
Feilding questions from newsmen before his address to the parliament, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said:
“My message to the Parliamentarians will be that Islam is not a religion of extremism and that a violent Jihad is not permissible. I will tell them that all people should join hands and work together to establish love and peace in society.”
Migrant crisis
On issues of current migrant crisis that is affecting Europe, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad said: “We believe that whoever is deprived or in danger should be given the opportunity to live his or her life with true freedom. Thus genuine refugees should be helped and given the opportunity to settle abroad but we should also seek to establish peace in their home countries so that eventually it is safe for them to return.”
His Holiness arrived at the Baitun Noor Mosque at 8.35pm local time and led the Maghreb and Isha prayers for the first time in The Baitun Noor Mosque, rebuilt in the Nunspeet complex, Holland.
The Khalifa travelled to Holland from London by road. On getting to France, he was received by the National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Holland, Mr Hibbatun-Noor and various other officials who joined the entourage to Holland.
