It's not on! Serena Williams and Drake are NOT engaged 

Rapper Drake, 28, and and Tennis Pro Serena Williams, 34, have tried to keep their romance under wraps, until they were seen getting up close and personal in public with their relationship and some thought a trip down the aisle was on the cards.

However on Thursday, after OK Magazine had run a story saying the tennis pro had been proposed to, and the pair were set to tie the knot, but a rep for the musician confirmed that the rumours of an engagement were 'completely untrue.'

 

Social media went into overdrive after it was suggested Drake had whisked his woman away on a romantic break to Toronto.

It is where the rapper is from, leading to some suggestion he had big plans for their getaway.

A source told the magazine he got down on bended knee and popped the question.

They said: 'She said yes but they want to keep it on the down-low for now.

Added the source: 'Now that [Drake] has her, he isn’t letting her go,' 

However the rep said that no such proposal took place and told MailOnline: The rumour is completely untrue.' 

The pair dated back in 2011 but their romance soon went off the boil.

Fast forward to August this year and it was when they were spotted making out at a trendy Cincinnati restaurant, just hours after Serena won the Women's Tennis Association tournament, that it became public knowledge they might be back on.

In one of the fan-taken snapshots, Serena appeared to be sitting very closely to Drake as she whispers in his ear.

An onlooker told TMZ the pair 'could not keep their hands and lips off of each other.' 

The rapper then began to turn up at the same venues as the tennis ace - most notably at the HSN Fashion Show in NY where she showcased her first collection.

She was then seen kissing her hand at a party held afterwards. 

Serena is very private about her personal life and has not confirmed they are dating.

A source recently told E! Nwes that, 'all of Serena's friends approve of the pair' adding that Drake is "a true gentleman.'
