Meet a celebrated shoplifter who lives like a successful business woman who goes to the salon to fix her hair, nails and eyebrows on a regularly and earns around £50,000 a year from shop lifting.
she has been jailed 5 times and has more than 30 convictions shoplifted goods worth £2m, has six children by four fathers and lives off benefits from the government.
Her name is Kim Farry and she is 54 years old who is the eldest of nine children and raised in a South London council house by an alcoholic mother and a petty burglar father who served several stints in prison.
Kim started stealing when she was 9. she shoplifted for the first time on London high street when when her parents could not provide for the family.
At 22, she had three children who are now aged 35, 33 and 32 by her husband, Ricky and she later had three more who are now aged 27, 22 and 15 all of whom have different fathers.
At her peak she was earning around £50,000 a year from shoplifting on top of that, Kim was claiming state benefits, which paid for her former home, a nice three-bedroom property in Teddington, Middlesex.
Her enviable wardrobe would suggest she is a wealthy business woman or married to a rich woman but she is just a single woman who has only shoplifting as a profession which she has been in to for 45years.
She was recently on TV to talk about her life of crime saying she has changed her ways and is finally looking for a job. In doing this she wants a job which would pay at least £36,000 a year to help her maintain the life she has been used to which include hair extensions, manicures and plastic surgery
she said she had to stop shoplifting when one year ago her daughter asked why they could not have a normal life. According to her that question was the final wake-up call for her to stop shoplifting.
