The Police  has arrested a woman who tried to smuggle an Ivorian boy across the border in to the spanish territory in North Africa . The boy was hidden in a suitcase and the woman took the siutcase
through a pedestrian crossing from Morrocco in to the Spanish-Governed territory of Ceuta.

"When they put the suitcase through the scanner, the operator noticed something strange, which seemed to be a person inside the case," an official told AFP.
“When it was opened they found a minor, in a terrible state.”
The boy said he was eight years old and from Ivory Coast, according to the spokesman.

The boy’s father who is Ivorian who lives in Canary Island in Spain was arrested when he tried to cross the border a few hours later.

Each year thousands of migrants  risk their lives trying  to scramble over the seven-metre fences that separate the Spanish cities from Morocco in search of a better life in Europe.
Many other Africans hide in vehicles and cargoes with the aim of being smuggled over the border.
