Apprentice absconds with employer’s children.


An apprentice, identified only as Grace, has allegedly absconded with the two children of her employer, Mrs. Suliyat Azeez, in the Okokomaiko area of Lagos State.The victims were identified as Farouk, 4; and six-year-old Kafayat.
Grace fled with the children on Friday, less than 24 hours after she resumed.
She was said to have claimed she was going out to buy food and asked the children to accompany her.

NYSC call-up letters can now be printed online.

The National Youth Service Corps authorities have said that prospective corps members can now print their call-up letters online.
It also adds that the camp for Stream 1, 2016 Batch ‘B’ commences on Thursday.

Plastic, poisonous rice from China flood Nigerian markets


On October 4, 2016, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), through its spokesman, Wale Adeniyi, warned the citizenry to be on red alert, as intelligence report indicated that some die-hard rice smugglers have begun shipment of plastic rice to Africa from China in what was clearly a selfish move aimed at swelling their profits, regardless of the consequences of their poisonous imports.
