It was a tragic end for a 78-year-old man, identified by police as Hassan Chiroma, when he slit his own throat at the city abattoir, Kano, yesterday. The incident which sent shock waves across city dwellers, had set tongues wagging over what could have led the septuagenarian to take his life.
