Olisa Metuh arrested by EFCC

The ongoing investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has landed the spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, in the Commission’s cell in Abuja.

NEPAD workers reject Njeze's reappointment

There was commotion at the Nigerian headquarters of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development on Tuesday as workers of the agency engaged in fisticuffs, while protesting against the alleged reappointment of the Special Assistant to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mrs. Fidelia Njeze, as NEPAD’s Coordinator/Chief Executive.

Senate Passes Tobacco Control Bill

 Abuja - The Senate on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 passed the National Tobacco Control Bill 2015 and the Equipment Leasing Bill 2015.
The bill when assented to by President Goodluck Jonathan will repeal the existing ``Tobacco Smoking (Control) Act, CAP.T6, LFN 2004’’, enacted in 1990 and amended years later.
